Have you ever invited someone out for a date only to find out that he/she only came for… the food? Congratulations! You have been foodie called. Yes, it’s a thing. And yes, it’s taking the reality of dating by storm. There’s even a scientific explanation that positions foodie calls among other “deceptive and exploitative behaviours in romantic relationships, such as one-night stands, faking an orgasm, or sending unsolicited sexual pictures” (Brian Collisson, Social Psychological and Personality Science journal).
Sounds pretty awful, doesn’t it?
Here at EvaSins, we’d like to bring a fundamental change to the way foodie calls are perceived. Think about it: why are booty calls becoming more and more acceptable while foodie calls are still frowned upon? There’s no shame in looking for a meal partner. Don’t hide your gluttonous side. Embrace it!
And the best part is that it’s totally OK to be romantically involved with one person while occasionally having foodie calls with several others. Be it same-sex, opposite sex or multiple partners, it’s all about the food. No cheating involved. And if you’re single, is there a better way to find a match that shares your love for food?
If you are a foodie and this doesn’t convince you to set your sin to “Gluttony” on EvaSins, I do not know what will. Because… well, there is nothing sweeter than sin. Except for maybe your favourite dessert 😉
